Thanks for downloading the CDL Kill Stats! This program [along with the FoxLog.vl2] will enhance your Tribes playing experience! You will be able to log your stats to an HTML page which can be published to a web-page, and you are able to customize how that page looks.

Installation:

1. Unzip the CDL Kill Stats Client.exe, the HTMLInfo.html, CDL.Connect.wav and CDL.Search.wav into any folder of your choosing.
2. Unzip the FoxLog.vl2 into your [default] C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\base folder.
3. Play T2
4. Run the CDL Kill Stats Client, and fill in the text boxes with the correct information [don't worry, it will tell you if you get the file paths wrong]. You also can click on the Menu and select Options, a new menu will pop up which will let you select whether or not you want detailed information to display [like Flag Caps, Flag Returns, etc.] You can check all the boxes or only some. The default for the check-boxes is False, or non-displaying. When you change these settings they will be saved to a file that will be retrieved when you re-start the program.
5. Make sure that you place a <stats> somewhere in the HTML text box, because if you don't the program will not function correctly.
6. After you have clicked the Search button [make sure you fill in the HTML box first!], you will then need to find the IP of the server you need to connect to. You will also need to know the server's password in order for your stats to be counted. Click on the Connect button, and then on the Send button.
7. Close the program.

When you run the Client for the second time, as long as you got the file paths correct, you will find that the program automatically fills in the information for you later! You can change the information if you need to, because the information is saved when you click on the Search button, so you can change it beforehand.

If you need any help with HTML coding, there are numerous websites that will help you out with it.

Note: If you are not part of a Clan or Tribe, but you still want to have your stats published [perhaps to your own web-page] then all you need to do is to go to step 6 and then take all the text inside the HTML text box and place it into a HTML file, and then you can publish it to a web-page.

Q: What can this program do?
A: It is able to interpret the kills, deaths, and suicides in Tribes 2. However, as of this writing it will not recognize mod weapons [but it will log them just the same under the Unknown type]

Q: Isn't this just PJ's SuperStats re-written?
A: I knew I'd get this question...it is similar to PJ's SuperStats, however it works somewhat differently as T2 does not do any of the work, the CDL Kill Stats Client does all the formatting. The CDL Kill Stats Client can also interact with the CDL Kill Stats Server so that you can send your stats to a web-page.

Q: I'm missing a file called ----.ocx or ----.dll! What can I do about it?
A: I'm working on this...but if you need to get this to start working now, you can try to download the Visual Basic 5 RunTime files. If you are missing only one file, you can try using regsvr32.exe [which should be in your C:\Windows\System32 folder], and running it in a Command Prompt window and giving it the location of the file you need registered. Like this:
C:\regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\----.ocx
